KPFK's birthday is Tuesday, July 26. That represents 63 years of listener-sponsored radio, and we thank everyone who's ever donated and helped KPFK to get this far along. You can help celebrate this anniversary with a special donation of $63, if you'd prefer to donate $6300, or any other amount, we certainly wouldn't turn it down. 

We have been presenting coverage and analysis on national and local topics such as  

• The House Select Committee hearings on the January 6^th Insurrection  
• Rising rates of gun violence, mass shootings, police shootings, and continued resistance to increased firearms regulation  
• The Supreme Court’s overturning of the Roe v Wade decision  
• Continued inequities experienced by people of color in the U.S.

Tuesday, July 26 marks the 63^rd anniversary of KPFK first going on the air, extending the programming concerns and philosophies of Berkeley-based Pacifica Radio into Southern California.   We want to celebrate this milestone by raising $63,000 - $1,000 a year for 63 years.
