In 1982 the African People's Socialist Party (APSP) hosted the First World Tribunal on Reparations for African People in the U.S. Held in Brooklyn, New York, the hearing used international law to put the U.S. government on trial for genocide against African people. The Panel of Judges ruled that the U.S. owed $4.1 trillion in reparations to African people. Chairman Omali Yeshitela served as the People's Advocate presiding over the proceedings. This book records his statements and the testimonies of African workers, academics and experts.
